I live in a condo where my car sits in a parking lot shared with other cars. I usually lug my GPS unit in my purse and did not have a case for it so I would bring it in and charge it up and route my maps and then the next time I needed it, I would throw in it my purse and bring it to the car. I kept the car charger for the GPS in the inner console of the car.
When I received the Lowepro case, it seemed bulky. I shortly found out that a GPS case is like buying a purse or a briefcase, we are going to like the size of it based on whether it suits our needs and purpose.
I own the Caliber P-3600 GPS Navigator and have had it for years. It is a 3.5 GPS screen and probably a bit bigger than most GPS models out nowadays. It has never failed me though so I continue to use it. When I thought the case was bulky it ended up proving to be well suited for my needs. The Lowepro case has two zippers that open on both ends and are very easy to use. I use the `sleeve' area on the GPS case to place my GPS unit it in it since it is very well protected with a lot of padding. After placing the GPS in the case, I then placed my car adapter on the other side and it fits perfectly! For me it is as if this case was meant for my unit all along! I am now able to bring the case and charger to and from the car. I like that I now have everything in one case and the best part is my GPS unit is well protected.
I think that this case might not be for everyone but if you GPS unit fits along with your cords as mine did you well be very pleased. I think I got lucky since it fit like a `glove' for me. I am very happy with the case and knowing I am getting a new GPS for Christmas I will be buying another Lowepro case that will fit my new unit just as perfectly as this one has.
