LowePro's "Santiago 20" is a 5" x 2" camera case built for a sub-compact (not a compact camera), portable high-definition video camera, a PDA or an mp3 player.
Be aware! This camera case is deceptively small. It doesn't look this way from the photograph, but I was surprised when I pulled it out of this obscenely big box Amazon packed for this tiny case.
The case is a hard, molded rubber clamshell designed. Its thick shell reminds me of those old eye-glass cases you used to see from years gone by--the kind you can throw off the Empire State Building and the eye-glasses was no worse for wear.
The hollow interior has a modest, but certainly not cushioned padding. But, since it is compact, the hard outer casing is more than makes up for the hollow interior.
On the back is a very wide belt loop and there's also a neck strap.
I tried fitting my prize compact digital camera, Canon PowerShot A590IS 8MP Digital Camera with 4x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom but it was too broad (see video). However, it was a perfect fit for my compact digital camcorder Flip MinoHD Camcorder 2nd Generation, 2 Hours (Brushed Metal) and my Blackberry Curve.
If there's a negative side, I'd say that the company should be more clearer as to what it will hold, but all in all, it is well built.

- Ideally, $18 is a bit too high, but not necessarily a deal-breaker. I'd consider between $10- $12 to be ideal.
