Customer Review: Great bag!
Summary: 5 Stars

Have the Lowepro Slingshot 100 ... needed a little more room, and the Lowepro Slingshot 200 was perfect!

Customer Review: The Best Bag Out There
Summary: 5 Stars

As a college student living in the mountains of east Tennessee my photography class projects have required me to journey to some pretty backwoods locales. This bag has more that delivered. I have plenty of room for my Pentax with a 28-300 lens along with storage for my macro lens. The ability to customize the dividers is a major plus. I fit everything I need for a photo day trip with ease, including many rolls of film, cable release, filters, and even my digital P&S.

This bag truly is rugged, and when Lowepro calls it all weather they are right. I was just shooting at a series of waterfalls deep in the woods and the wet rocky terrain lead to me slipping into the water. The SlingShot 100 got wet and muddy but everything inside was dry and safe even after I had fallen on my back, landing on top of the bag.

The very best part of this bag is the comfort and fit. Its nice and snug but at the same time very open for adjustment. Once I throw it on, I often forget its there.

I would recommend the SlingShot 100 to anyone who is looking for a bag that is versatile and built for the long haul. I am planning on getting many years of service out of mine.

Customer Review: Great when going through airline security and traveling !!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I am quite happy with my Slingshot 200. It is comfy even when packed to the gills. One does have to insure the padded shoulder rest is properly placed. Also, I am a large guy and the straps extend to fit me well. I like the fact that I can whip it around in front of me and have fast and silent access to my camera and lenses without worry of items falling out and being damaged. I can see wildlife and get my equipment quietly without scary Velcro noises, ect. to avoid frightening away my wildlfie camera subjects.

I have also used the bag many times as a good sturdy object to rest my arms on for stability and help reduce shake when taking a picture with a slow shutter speed if I do not have my monopod or tripod. The built in waterproof cover is also a nice to have and eliminates extra worry.

Surprisingly, the most important thing I really like is that when I travel. Carry on restrictions are MUCH tighter lately, as to how much an airline allows one to carry onboard. I bring my slingshot and my notebook case for carry on. In addition to my camera body, 2-3 lenses and an extra Canon PowerShot, my slingshot 200 also has room for quite a few other things like my ipod, my portable GPS, cd's or dvd's, ect.. I can pack all those things in the slingshot when leaving on my trip and not have to put them in checked baggage. I let my slingshot with camera equipment and extra electronics go with me through airline security and it easily passes through, as long as I maintain eye contact on it at all times. Then it is easy to carry and keep with me without a burden during layovers between flights. I would rather pay the $15 for a checked bag of clothes and carry on my electronics then to risk putting my electronics in stored luggage where they get throw round, and possibly ripped off. Using careful thought about what camera equipment I need to bring allows me to use the slingshot's extra storage for other things.

Lastly, I am very impressed with the thought behind the bag, and the build and quality of the materials used. 5 stars for sure. You will not be disappointed.

Customer Review: Perfect size, rain hood a plus
Summary: 5 Stars

Just the right size for day trips/bike rides. Second cross strap provides stability. I fit a digital SLR, two lenses, handheld video cam and digital recorder plus "stuff". Rain cover and sewn-in lens cloth very cool. Light.

Customer Review: Functional with Style
Summary: 4 Stars

This product looks good and function as well. The backpack is good for a SLR camera with roughly 2 lens, depends the size of your lens. I like the sling feature where you swing it around and open the zipper to get the camera without removing the backpack. It has a quite a few pockets for misc items and a waterproof cover from the bottom. Overall built quality is impressive too.
